Jeremy Johnson, M.D.

Associate Program Director (Family Medicine & Emergency Medicine)

Dr. Jeremy Johnson attended medical school at The University of South Alabama. He completed his residency in family medicine at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Huntsville Family Medicine Residency Program and completed additional training in emergency medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center Jackson. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. In addition, he completed a faculty development fellowship with the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine.

His interests within medicine include the application of evidence-based practice in the acute care setting, utilization of point-of-care ultrasound, optimizing access to medicine for the local and international communities, and the modernization of medical education. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time on the lake, hiking, the live music scene in Huntsville, and discovering new, local artists and restaurants. Dr. Johnson chose The Crestwood Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program because it provided an opportunity to design and develop a program from the ground up in an established community medical center.
