Shaista Qureshi, MBBS, M.D.

Program Director

Dr. Shaista Qureshi is a Native Tribal Pashtun originally from Afghanistan. Her passion for medicine and education has resulted in many teaching and clinical awards throughout her career. Dr. Qureshi moved to Huntsville, Alabama to become the founding Program Director of our program.

Jeremy Johnson, M.D.

Associate Program Director

Dr. Jeremy Johnson attended medical school at The University of South Alabama. He completed his residency in family medicine at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Huntsville Family Medicine Residency Program and completed additional training in emergency medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center Jackson. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. In addition, he completed a faculty development fellowship with the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine.

Pam Hudson, M.D.

Executive Advisor, Graduate Medical Education

Dr. Pam Hudson is a family physician who has been at Crestwood Medical Center for more than 30 years and served as CEO for the last 16 years. Prior positions include senior executive roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Hudson has focused on the launch of Crestwood’s Medical Education Program since the summer of 2022.

Darla Cowart, M.D.

Core Faculty, Family Medicine & Sports Medicine

Dr. Darla Cowart obtained her Doctorate of Medicine at UAB School of Medicine. She went on to complete a Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at UAB Family Medicine in Huntsville, AL. She is board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Cowart has served on the Board of Directors for multiple community organizations including Crestwood Medical Center, Madison County Medical Society, and Thrive. She is currently practicing at Total Sports and Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama.

Adeel Bodla, M.D.

Core Faculty

Dr. Adeel Bodla is a native of Multan, Pakistan. He attended NMC, Multan Pakistan. Dr. Bodla joined the Crestwood Family Medicine Residency group due to his long time association with Crestwood Hospital. During his free time, he enjoys badminton, golf, hiking and tennis. Dr. Bodla hopes to continue to constantly provide the best medical care to the community, now passing it on to the next generation of residents.

Susie Kim, PharmD, CDCES

Ambulatory Clinic Pharmacist

Dr. Susie Kim obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy in San Antonio, Texas. During her rotations, she discovered her passion for outpatient chronic disease state management/academia and decided to pursue postgraduate residency training in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy.

Anna Maria Ennis

Facility Director, Graduate Medical Education

Anna Ennis, a native of Huntsville, AL, received her BS in Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With more than 16 years of experience in the healthcare field, she joined Crestwood’s Medical Education Department in 2021. Having both a clinical and administrative background, she found her calling when she began working with medical students and assisting in the launch of Crestwood’s new residency programs. Ms. Ennis is an avid lifelong learner and enjoys traveling with her kids.

Ayesha Whiting

Program Coordinator

Ayesha Whiting attended South University where she received a BS in Public Health. She is currently working on her MPH at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Concentrating in Health Policy and Management. Ayesha would love to be a Hospital Administrator one day. She is originally from Montgomery, Alabama.
