Syed Alam, M.D.

Dr. Syed Alam is the Internal Medicine Residency Associate Program Director at the Crestwood Medical Center.

Dr. Alam is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and brings a wealth of clinical, academic, and international experience to our program. His medical training includes his first IM residency at the Hamad Medical Corporation under the Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, followed by residency and fellowship at the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.

In addition to his U.S.-based training, Dr. Alam has practiced medicine in Pakistan and has served as a general practitioner in the Maldives. His broad experience across diverse healthcare systems enriches the learning environment for our residents and reflects our commitment to global perspectives in medical education.

Dr. Alam is deeply passionate about resident education, mentorship, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. We are excited to have him join our leadership team as we continue to build a dynamic and supportive training program at Crestwood.
